Determine a suitable location for control box.  The box must be located within 10' of a UL approved GFCI outlet and at least 6' above high tide water line.  Controller MUST be plugged in to a UL approved GFCI outlet.  Control box must be in a well ventilated area.

Screw control box to a post or other suitable solid surface using supplied tabs. Assure top of control box (where photocell attached) is level.

GENTLY lower bulb into water at desired location slowly while holding black wire until light rests on bottom.  BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO HIT/BANG OR BUMP ON ANY HARD OBJECT. It is a light and will break if not handled gently.

Attach photocell to top of control box by aligning prongs and then turn slightly to lock in position.

Plug power cord into GFCI outlet.

DO

unplug your light and leave bulb in water as barnacles and other algae will begin to grow and may be impossible to burn off.  Your light must be on a minimum of 6 hours each night to burn off the growth that would naturally grown on the bulb.

attempt to "unscrew" the bulb from the bulb housing as it has been permanently sealed inside bulb housing and cannot be removed without destroying the seals and will void warranty.

light the bulb out of the water as it will overheat and destroy the seals in the bulb housing and void warranty.

remove the bulb from the water without first unplugging the unit from GFCI outlet.  Bulb runs on high voltage from control box and may cause injury or death if not unplugged from GFCI outlet first.

open control box as there are no customer maintained parts inside and box has very high voltage.

call or email us if you have any questions.

unplug power cord from electric outlet before anyone enters the water for swimming or any other reason.  Use extreme caution as the risks of shock/injury or death are too great to take any chance with safety. Always unplug system before entering water for any reason.

enjoy your light!
